What's Included in the kit?
- Why?
The Pelican torch provided is cost efficient but unfortunately not user friendly for all situations.
My solution has been developed to make our job a little easier.
- How does it work?
The torch clip snaps around the torch firmly and the clip has a button post which fits to either the Base Mounts included.
Base mounts remain on each jacket, radio loops.
Simply slide the torch on or off the base quickly, clicking into place.
The torch can swivel as required.
These are compatible with helmet mounts, however, it is not recommended for user on your helmet due to weight imbalance and safety.
- What is it made from?
3D Printed, ASA Plastic which is UV STABLE and durable for outdoors.
-What temperature can they withstand?
The K88, implies a small fire.
These are rated to 100 degrees Celsius.
Although during direct heat testing, temperatures reached between 150 and 200 where the clip finally failed.
I do not recommend use for internal structure fire with this mount.
-What happens if it fails?
The material will simply deform, droop and eventually melt, like any plastic we face in fires.
